Evenings, not office hours
Johnny is up on roofs through the day, so he reads these in the evening. You will hear back that night or first thing the next morning. That is how the business runs and it is written here rather than buried in the small print, because you deserve to know which kind of tradesman you are dealing with before you wait in for one.
The number below does get answered, mostly early and late. In the middle of the day he is up a ladder with gloves on and the phone is in the van.
What to send
One photograph of the problem does more than a paragraph describing it. If the leak is showing inside, a picture of the ceiling stain is worth having as well as one of the roof, because the two together tell him roughly where the water is travelling before he has left the yard. If you cannot get a picture safely, do not climb anything to get one. Nobody needs a second accident on top of a leak, and he would rather come and look.
A rough idea of when it started helps. So does whether it only happens in heavy rain, or only when the wind is from one direction, because both of those narrow it down a long way before anyone gets on the roof.
Johnny and his team did a great job. Turned up on time, completed the work without fuss and left everything clean and tidy; couldn't ask for more!
